Simple Kenyan Dengu Recipe

  • 1 cup of cooked dengus /green grams
  • 1 Onion diced
  • 2 Tomatoes Diced
  • 2 cloves of Garlic diced
  • 1 Medium Green Pepper (hoho) diced
  • 1 carrot diced
  • ¼ tsp of pepper
  • 2 Royco or Maggi cubes
  • Oil for Frying
  • Salt to Taste
  1. Fry onions and garlic for 1 minute
  2. Add the tomatoes, carrots, green pepper, salt, pepper, seasoning and cook until soft
  3. Add the cooked dengu and stir, then add in water the same level with the green grams. Cover and boil for 10 minutes.
  4. Serve your Kenyan dengu recipe with a meal of your choice
